God's promises to Abraham were many and great, but the Lord first required that he separate himself. To set in motion God's blessings, he would have to leave his familiar ways behind. On the word of an invisible God, known only to himself, he set out into a desert toward an unknown promised land - faith in action. Even faith is a gift from God, but it is sometimes the only tool we have to effectively carry out the plan God has for us.
The Lord may ask you to leave your comfort zone. You may even be walking through your own personal desert. Rest assured that there are blessings over the horizon, that you are not alone on your journey.
