But it is for you, O Lord, that I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer. (Ps.38:15)
There are times of waiting, and this image depicts the dynamics at work during those times. In this particular instance it is a waiting for His presence, not so much for an answer to a prayer. The overall tone is one of satisfaction in stillness, a blessed assurance, that the Lover of our soul is near - also waiting for us to come near. Sometimes we may feel quite alone in that place of waiting, but as this picture indicates that is not the reality of such a posture. Once again I am indebted to Ruth Fazal and her song entitled "Maranatha" for this vision that I received so clearly.
